Mission Statement
As Debby and I prayed for
a mission statement that would reflect the purpose God has designed
for this ministry it was made very clear during an early morning
devotion time. Our Pastor, Dr. Herb Reavis, Jr. had been preaching
from the Gospel of Matthew and I had left the bible marker at the
chapter from the Sunday before. I began to read silently and as
I neared the end I felt both great excitement and tremendous relief
at the same moment. Excited at God's reminder that He had already
placed a clear call on the life of every Christian over two-thousand
years ago. Two simple, yet profoundly instructional words. "Go
Ye," I realized at that moment that, brain implant
surgery aside, all that I needed to know was wrapped up in these two
powerful words. A simple verb and an indisputable noun. What to do and who
should do it. That was the exciting part. The relief came from
knowing that this was all I needed to know for the moment. We
needed only to be faithful to the "what and who" and God would
be faithful in revealing and supplying the "where and how" of
it all, morning after morning, day by day.
Please pray concerning this ministry as we bring the Gospel in song to a
hurting nation that needs the encouragement of the Holy Spirit.
Love in Christ,
Gary Tomlinson
"Go Ye, therefore into all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father,
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even unto the
end of the world." Mathew 28:19,20
