BIO
I am a native of Jacksonville, Florida having
grown up on the west side of town, graduated from Paxon Senior
High School in a year that was just too long ago to mention. My
family's home church, Woodstock Park Baptist Church later relocated
to Crystal Springs Road, now known as Woodstock Baptist
Church. Music has always been a passion and a primary part of my
life. As my testimony reveals, that passion lead me to make some
very costly decisions as a young man. Decisions that lead me down
a long road of sinful rebellion.
Almost
twenty years ago God reached out and placed His loving arms around me and convicted
me of the dark and sinful life I was living. I came home by way of a broken
heart and bended knees and counted on God do the rest. God is using this testimony
of His amazing, restorative grace and love to touch the hearts of those who
may still be in that dark place in their lives and are looking for the only
way out.
I am a licensed Assisted Living Administrator and have been in the
senior healthcare industry for the last twelve years. Although our music
and message reach out to all ages, I feel that God called me to that position
to equip me to minister to "Senior Saints" in a very special way. Now, as
a full time music evangelist, I still maintain a nursing home ministry. Specialized
training and work with Alzheimer's residents has given me a special insight
as to the powerful therapeutic and spiritual effects of music in the lives
of these special people. Especially God's Music.
In addition to a concert ministry, I have also been privileged to serve as
a bi-vocational Praise and Worship Leader in several Jacksonville churches
over the years. I love to share that part of my ministry through revivals,
worship services and other special events in the life of the church.
My beautiful wife Debby, a professional artist and owner of An Elegant
Finish, Inc., and I are long time members of the great North Jacksonville
Baptist Church, under the powerful leadership and preaching of our Pastor,
Dr. Herb Reavis, Jr.. I am an active member of the Sanctuary Choir, under
the direction of long time friend, and brother in Christ, Rev. Tim Rigdon,
Minister of Music.
We are so very proud of our four children, Alicia
(Mark) Shanna (Rodney) Heather (Brandon) and Adam (Jackie) and
our 10 grandchildren, Wren, Mark, Gabriel, Dylan, Amelia, Katie,
Madison, Hailey, McKenzie, and Tyler. Truly, the Lord doth bless!
Please pray for this ministry as we speak, and sing about that same glorious
grace and love that brought me home again and reunited me with
a Holy God, my family, and the family of God. Pray as well, about allowing
Gary L. Tomlinson Ministries to be involved in the Kingdom work that your
church or organization is doing to the glory of God.
This ministry is a love offering based ministry because it is just so
exciting to see what God provides through the obedience of His people!
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Sweetest Name I know!
Till we meet here or there, may God bless you!
